- BVA - EMERGENCY - Election For BVA Chair
A lot of drama around this. After having a close call before the holiday, we had a Chair elected. However it appears that this will not be happening anymore due to personal reasons (being deployed to California is a good reason) & the BVA is about to elect a new chair once more. We have until the 8th September to bring forward any candidates. Remember that the BVA cannot operate without a Chair. Please DM me if you are interested to step forward.
- Start of Season - Tryouts for teams
We are running tryouts this year or players have not yet played in teams - invitational only. If you have expressed your interest you should have been asked to either come Sunday (3rd September - Ladies) or today Tuesday (5th September - Mens).

This year we are running our highest number of teams in the BVA (if the BVA runs...). Below will be the main contacts for each. If you need some information please let them know directly.

- Referee Course - Ashcombe
All teams must have for each fixture at least a Grade IV referee (First ref) & enough support. There is a referee course running on the 9th September and there still may be available places. All details are on the Volleyball England website here: https://volleyzone.
But more in general, I am asking all team coaches & captains to check & send me the details (registration number for example) of the trained referees that are in each team. This information should be provided in the registration form.
- Trainings
Generally speaking, all our training sessions will be starting from next week onwards. I have listed below the training that we have, where, what time & which occasion they are for. There will be more announcements later but these are the confirmed ones for the moment.

- Oxford High School - 20:00 to 22:00 - Ladies Team training - Falcons & Flamingos - First training Monday 11th September
- Tuesday
- Ferry Leisure Center - 19:00 to 21:00 - Ladies Eagles NVL training - First training Tuesday 12th September
- Wednesday
- Oxford High School - 19:00 to 22:00 - Mens Team training - Vollox & Bulls - First training Wednesday 13th September
- Thursday
- Ferry Leisure Center - 17:00 to 19:00 - Junior Boys (U18) training - First training Thursday 14th September (The training slot for the Girls still need to be confirmed)
- Ferry Leisure Center - 19:00 to 21:00 - Mens Team training - Bullox & Mavericks - First training Thursday 14th September
- Friday
- Headington Girls School - 20:00 to 22:00 - Social Session (First arrived first served with max quantity) - First training provisionally Friday 8th September

- Oxford High School - 09:30 to 10:30 - Little Diggers (Juniors U14) - First training Saturday 16th September

- Fees & Memberships
Teams and Fees - Season 2023/24
- Juniors U14: £75 for juniors 5-13yr training on Saturdays
- Juniors U18: £150 for juniors 14-18yr training on Thursday for Boys & still TBC for Girls
- Adult teams (includes annual membership, trainings and matches)
- Ladies 1 = NVL team - £330 (includes club membership)
- Ladies 2 and 3 = BVA teams - £235 (includes club membership)
- Men 1 = BVA Team + NVL League Entry - £255 (includes club membership)
- Men 2, 3 & 4 = BVA teams - £235 (includes club membership)
- Mixed match fee: £50 per team per match day (Does not include membership & you MUST be a club member to play competitively for insurance purpose)
- Annual membership: £50
- Social £10 on the day or £5 if you are a club member

- Start of Season Party
We like to start the year with a club party. So join us at the Up In Arms (OX3 0EN) from 19:00 this Saturday 9th September !!!
- Reminder about the Key Positions in the Club
