Last weekend the Globetrotters went down to Basingstoke for their second fixture this season. The first game was against Newbury
Hurricanes, who only showed up with 5 players. We started very well
into the game and won the first set easily 25:11. Taking it too lightly,
Newbury started to hit and serve very strongly and used
our gaps very well, and they managed to win the second set 25:20. The
tie break started very equal but finally the Globetrotters pulled ahead
thanks to Rune's excellent serving. MVP: Rune
In the second game we played Basingstoke Mixed. Everyone played very well and we won the game quite easily with 25:15 and 25:10. MVP: Jon for his excellent serving giving us a 10:0 lead in the second set.
